Aim
To ensure professional drivers understand their role and responsibilities if they are the first at the scene of a road traffic collision.
Overview
This important module equips drivers with the knowledge and skills required to act safely and effectively when encountering a road traffic collision. Through trainer-led discussions, experience sharing, real-world scenarios, and group activities, drivers will learn how to assess risks dynamically, park safely at an incident, relay essential information to emergency services, and provide basic trauma first aid while ensuring their own safety and that of others.
Key Learning Outcomes
Understand the importance of dynamic risk assessment when arriving at a collision scene.
Learn how to approach and park safely at a road traffic collision to protect all involved.
Know how to establish the exact location and carry out an initial assessment of the incident.
Understand how to communicate effectively with emergency services and relay critical information clearly.

Training Methods
Training is delivered through trainer-led presentations, group discussions, interactive experience sharing, scenario-based exercises, and reflective questioning to ensure practical understanding and engagement.
End-of-Module Assessment
The course concludes with a group quiz and summary session to reinforce key learning points and confirm delegates’ understanding of actions required at the scene of an accident.
